PMP's data collection policy allows you
to choose whether to give us your address details and to control
how we use that information. We aim to allow you to control your
privacy and give you the means to raise any questions or concerns
you may have.
This statement discloses the privacy
policy for the PMP controlled sites under www.pmp.co.uk
The policy does not extend to sites that
are linked to PMP sites and which are not controlled by PMP. There
is a single registration for all PMP-controlled sites.
The Policy
It is PMP's policy to allow our site users to provide as much or
as little information to us as they feel comfortable doing, depending
on the level of information you require from the site. As a user
of the PMP site you:
(a) control whether you want to submit your personal details
(b) control what PMP can do with your personal details
(c) have our assurances of privacy.
Information collected from site users
If you use the PMP site, certain information is automatically collected
so that delivery can be made of the service.
When you request a page from the site's
web server, the server automatically collects some information about
your system, including your IP address. PMP collects the minimum
information necessary to make the service work - this information
is essential to send the pages back across the Internet to the right
computer. PMP uses "WebTrends Log Analyser" to analyse traffic to
the PMP site. WebTrends Log Analyser does not create individual
profiles for visitors as WebTrends Log Analyser only collects aggregate
data. For more information about the WebTrends Log Analyser privacy
policy, please visit www.webtrends.com.
Registration
We will ask you to
register in order to gain full access the sites'content. You can
also register to receive notification of the latest issues of our
publications, attend conferences, view webcasts, and receive other
services from PMP. This will require you to provide personal information
such as your name, email address, home or work postcodes. This information
is mandatory and is required by PMP to supply a reasonable level
of services to users and our IT clients. Upon registration, you
will be asked to choose a password for future access to the site
and to review the information we hold on you.
Use of Information
You will only receive
additional relevant information from specially selected clients
of PMP if you indicate your consent as described below. PMP will
either email you the additional relevant information on behalf of
PMP clients or use the services of a recognised data bureau, acting

may, however, make anonymous use of information to help diagnose
faults, manage the system and gather broad demographic information
about our users in general. This information will be stripped of
all details that could identify you personally. For example, we
may use IP addresses to help fix performance problems with our server.
We may also combine demographic information supplied by you or your
system with other statistical data to provide profiles, in aggregate
form, about users and their preferences. We may share this composite
information with our clients to help them better understand the
market.
